Gotta agree – local pawnshops here also at £6 – £6.50 per gram for 9ct!

I’m hating the postal gold companies – but I also cant bear idiot claims either. Lets take Cash Your Gold now – they paid me £4.00 per gram. By your reckoning – you must be paying at least £20 per gram for 9ct – Are You? Please back up this claim with some sort of evidence otherwise I shall remove the links to your company.
Hi, We are totally disgusted that someone has posted a advert on this website claiming to be us and that we pay 500% more than other companines, I am sure everyone knows this would be impossible, We do pay a very high price for scrap gold, but we did not write this advert on this page, we would like this advert removed, i assume this advert was written by one of our rivals who is trying to slander our good name. Cheshire Diamonds is a small family business started in 1980 and has a very very good reputation in and around the Cheshire area. As the proprietor of the company i am prepared to taken legal advise to get this slanderous remark removed. Nice Try – BUT – Sadly for you, this system records the IP address of all comments – and guess what – the comment that you’re so ‘disgusted’ with originates from the same IP that you’ve used….

Our solicitors told us the website administrator is Andy Lockwood.
We did not write these comments and strongly disagree with them, we feel if this matter can not be resolved amicably then we will have no option but pursue all parties through the courts to 1) get the comments removed and 2) recover all costs incurred 3) be compensated for the loss of business.
So – You ‘Really don’t know what’s going on’ eh? Well – I’ll tell you what I think. I think either yourself or one of your employees saw my personal blog (I’m not a company I’m just a private individual) and decided to try and make yourselves sound good. The claim that ‘one of your competitors’ must have posted the original comment (not an advert – a comment) is frankly a rediculous and stupid idea. How likely is it that one of your competitors would see my blog, decide to ’slander’ you, get a laptop, stand outside your shop, comment on my blog using your wifi connection (99% of which are secure and if yours isn’t then you are stupid) in the vague hope that someone else in Macclesfield would see it and think “Oh, I won’t go there then”. It isn’t really is it? I think you (or one of your staff) posted the comment to try and make your outfit sound good.
Here’s a tip. When you’re in a hole – stop digging. All you’re doing here is drawing more and more attention to yourself.
What you SHOULD have done – is to contact me back and say “sorry, we made an error in the original post and we’d like to correct it”. Job done. Instead you insist on pretending you have no knowledge of the original comment.
As for contacting me – do it here – for the world to see.
By the way – I dont think the comment is even slightly slanderous.
I’m assuming this is to me? If it’s designed to scare it doesn’t come close. Since the original comment that is in dispute originates from the same IP address as all these comments, there is NO OTHER EXPLANATION than the original post is the responsibility of Cheshire Diamonds.

how convenient, someone has hacked into your systems, sounds like a case of creating publicity as I’m sure the person who updates your website would of picked up on this, after all bad publicity is good for publicity. Does anyone else wonder whether what you get back is the item you sent in or are the items being swopped for look alike gold painted ones. Stick with independant valuers that value the item infront of you and have been around for years not these new companies trying to make quick money. Postal gold have made no apologies to any of the complaints just court threats-customer service??? one thing though I have met the owners of this company and they are lovely
